St Aidan's Community School

3rd Year Well-being Project

St. Fintans and St.Eithnes took part in a workshop with a team from Novartis, a pharmaceutical company, to work together in small focus groups to come up with a slogan to limb in with their current walking initiative during TLC class along the ‘Sli na Slainte’ around the school grounds.
We are currently running a Wellbeing Programme in conjunction with the new junior cert wellbeing module. Our students do a walk around the school grounds on a weekly basis, count their steps and are provided with a healthy snack.
This has extended now to the development of a slogan which will be graffitied on the PE Hall wall in the next few weeks.
Following on from this we hope to map out our route and perhaps decorate it with some markers or graphics which will be recognised by both the students and surrounding community.
