Festive Friday at St. Aidan's!!

On Friday 11th December 2020 we held our annual Christmas Jumper Day coordinated by the student council. Staff and students fundraised €520 to go to LauraLynn Ireland's Children's Hospice. There was prizes for best effort on the day with the top prize going to Daniel Walsh in 5th Year- well deserved!!

We have also been collecting items for our Christmas Care Packs which are given to homeless people during Christmas Week as a gift. The student council and Mr Casey organise this annually and work with Simon Community Homeless Charity on this project each year.

This year we made up 132 Christmas Care Pack and we would like to thank staff, students and parents who donated items and care packs this year.

We also had dingbat competitions running throughout the course of the week, with the finale being today and congratulations to Abbie Doyle from 1st Year who won the 1st prize hamper!!

A great day was had by all here at St. Aidan's Community School.
